Hello Lovelies,
With summer now behind us and fall in full swing, we hope you’re enjoying the change of seasons wherever you are. Here, the leaves are changing, and people are heading up north to take in the vibrant colors while sipping apple cider and embracing the cozy autumn vibes.
As fall settles in, we’re gearing up for our next adventure: another exciting Libertine event in Texas this week. In our previous blog post about finding your tribe, we mentioned how these events have allowed us to make amazing friends. We’re thrilled to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones at this upcoming event. Cate always throws fantastic parties in fun cities, which gives us the perfect mix of exploring during the day and partying with like-minded people at night. If you haven’t attended a Libertine event yet, we highly recommend checking out their website to see if any of their upcoming events catch your interest!
While we’re excited about Texas, we’ve just returned from an incredible week at Desire Riviera Maya. It was our first trip back since before the pandemic, and we couldn’t wait to see the new changes to the resort. We had heard about the new addition being built and were eager to check it out. Would it live up to Desire’s already high standards for class, excitement, and entertainment? Spoiler alert: it did!
Landing in Cancun, we were filled with anticipation to kick off our sexy getaway. This trip was even more special to us this time as we celebrated some of life’s moments as a couple, in addition to a reflection of the past and excitement of the future. Arriving at the resort, we were blown away by the new lobby’s warm, inviting décor and the friendly welcome from the staff. As fate would have it, we even bumped into old friends from our 2017 trip, one of the beautiful features of Desire and the lifestyle. While they were checking out, we were able to have quick hugs and hope to see them at a future event sometime.
The Eden
After checking in, we made our way to our room through the new Eden area, and we were absolutely amazed. The outdoor bar, pool area, and the new section of rooms were all stunningly designed. Everything in this new section was gorgeous, and it seamlessly elevated the resort’s overall vibe.
The new area feels like a beautiful extension of the resort, although there were moments where we felt a slight disconnect between the new and old sections. For example, the old pool is now considered the “quiet pool,” which we didn’t get to experience this time but will definitely check out on future visits. There were times we walked by the now quiet pool, and thought of some fun memories of the pool with friends in years past. The majority of the restaurants, volleyball court, and beach activities are still located in the original section, though we did notice one of our favorite beach spots had disappeared, which was a bit of a bummer.
Dining in Eden
In the new Eden section, there are two restaurants we had the chance to try. Eros, located next to the new pool, is perfect for lunch or dinner, and we enjoyed dining there a couple of times. Kahlo, a Mexican-themed restaurant, is located near the disco and offers a more formal, dressed-up atmosphere—ideal for an evening of refined dining after a day of naked fun by the pool and beach. We enjoyed a special dinner here where the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. Another evening, we had the chance to have dinner with friends, which was a nice way to catch up in a relaxed setting, away from the pool and the day’s festivities.
Disco / Nightclub
The new disco/nightclub is a fabulous addition. Just steps away from Kahlo and the new hot tub, it offers a great bar setup, spaces for mingling, and of course, a vibrant dance floor. A quick tip for ladies – ‘be mindful of the grooves in the floor if you’re in heels. I had a few close calls!‘ –Mrs. Swanilla
Beyond the dance floor is a spacious bathroom area with a shower that leads into the playroom. The new playroom is a huge improvement from the previous one, offering a sensual and inviting atmosphere.
Every night features a different theme, from glow night and angels & devils to leather & lace and Latin night. Dressing up and seeing how creative others get with their outfits is always a highlight for us. Most nights, there’s a show that aligns with the theme, kicking the party off in style. When the weather was pleasant, we enjoyed these shows in the open bar area near the Eden pool. On windy nights, they were moved indoors to the disco, which was much appreciated with the humidity.
One night, while dancing at the disco, we unexpectedly ran into a fun Canadian couple we’ve known for a bit. None of us realized we’d be at Desire at the same time, so it was a blast to catch up and spend a couple of days hanging out. In addition to reuniting with old friends, we made new connections from all over, Argentina, Mexico, France, Nashville, Chicago, Texas, Delaware, Florida, and California. We even had the pleasure of meeting Bella and Jase from the 4OURPLAY podcast and we’re able to chat for a bit in the disco. We realized after chatting that we’ll see them again at the Texas event! We also connected with fellow Lifestyle bloggers, Dante and Onyx from the Swingosphere blog, a couple we had chatted with online for years. They were visiting both Riviera Maya and Pearl for their first lifestyle vacation, and it was nice to finally meet them in person.
This post is just a snapshot of our first trip back to Desire and our initial impressions of The Eden. We have so many more memories and stories to share in upcoming blog posts. Desire truly is addictive, you’ll find yourself constantly planning your next trip! For now, we’re off to Texas for more fun, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for us next.
Until next time!
Xoxo
