Hello Lovelies,

We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe, healthy and happy! We are in lock down like most of you, and are sending you good vibes. We were scheduled to head to Podcast-A-Palooza in a few short weeks in Miami, but that has been postponed to October. We are hoping the world is a much safer place by then, so we can party and enjoy what will be a great event.

Speaking of good vibes, May has cum and so should you! As May is International Masturbation Month. We thought it was a great message and time to share this with all of you (if you weren’t aware of this fun month) as we are all in quarantine and why not enjoy some self-love? While we love the sexiness of lifestyle events, we are having plenty of fun as a couple catching up on our favorite podcasts, lingerie nights and connecting as a couple. One way to help connect as a couple is to enjoy self-love while alone and in front of each other. It gets us both very hot and excited to watch each other enjoy our bodies with toys and without. We have set a challenge this month to go through our toy chest, and try all of our toys throughout the month of May. We will play with our old toys, see what we like or don’t like about them, and discover what keeps us going back to our favorite toys. And these are toys for both ladies and men. We are equal opportunity when it comes to toys and self-pleasure. We are pro rub and tug! Who knows? We may share a few pictures of our toy collection in a future blog post.

To celebrate, Emojibator brings you 31 Days of Self Love featuring exclusive stories and advice on practicing mindful masturbation. They are offering 15% off on toys! Be sure to check out their site, as their toys are very similar to emoji’s.

With International Masturbation Month here. It is a great opportunity to discuss this still taboo subject as a couple. Perhaps discuss how you may (or may not) address it with your kids at the appropriate age, as watching porn is not a good sex education. We found a few articles and summaries that we wanted to share on our blog post and have included links as well to reference for a deeper read. Including the history of this day and how it was started.

Masturbation is a normal and common activity for both men and women, yet many people feel shame or guilt about masturbating,” said Dr. McDonald-Mosley. “Negative feelings about masturbation can threaten your health and well-being. Remember, only you can decide what is healthy and right for you.” People who receive negative messages about masturbation when they are young often carry feelings of shame into adulthood. Some people think that others masturbate only when they do not have a sex partner. But that is not true. In fact, people who have regular sex partners are more likely to masturbate than people without sex partners.

After a speech at the United Nations World AIDS Day, an audience member asked U.S. Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders about masturbation’s potential for discouraging early sexual activity. She answered, “I think it is something that is part of human sexuality and a part of something that perhaps should be taught.” Days later she was forced to resign for her comment. Launched in 1995 in honor of Elders’ work, National Masturbation Month provides a unique opportunity to get people talking about self love and encourage conversations about sexual wellness.
